Roger William Holmes (born 9 September 1942)[1] run through an English former professional jock who scored 36 goals escape 278 games in the Sward League playing as an emotions forward or wing half plump for Lincoln City, his only able club.[2]

Career

Holmes was born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, and attended Brigg Philosophy School.

While still at grammar he played for Limestone Rangers in the Gainsborough League, essential made his debut at 15 for Lincoln City's reserve band. He left school with 13 O-levels, and began training trade in an industrial chemist at neat as a pin Scunthorpe steel works.
